Who We Are
Justin personally loves the art of landscaping and has a great eye for the little important details. Starting at a young age mowing and servicing homes in his neighborhood, in the Sicomac section of Wyckoff after school turned into a dream reality come true. Justin’s detailed approach of quality workmanship sets him apart from the larger company’s. Justin personally makes sure each client is completely satisfied and treats them as family.
Joining the New Jersey Landscape Contractors Association in 2013, Justin has been continuously involved in the green industry learning new practices, educating himself on plants and design aspects.
In 2015, while Justin was still in Ramapo High School he was awarded Landscape Design/Build Award of Merit for a project he completed. Two years later in December 2017 Justin was awarded Budding Contractor of the Year Award. This award was given to him for his professionalism of the green industry and willingness to learn. Then in 2018, he was awarded Five Landscape Achievement Awards. These being, Award of Distinction in Design/ Build, Award of Distinction in Design/ Build Landscape Lighting, Award of Merit in Design/ Build, Award of Merit in Landscape Maintenance, and Award of Merit for Foundation planting.
Finally, in 2019 Justin received Award of Distinction in Design/Build and also Award of Merit in Landscape Maintenance.
At Vander Sluys we have owner supervised crews to ensure everything is done correctly the first time to eliminate call backs. We have a dedicated crew, fleet of trucks, trailers, and state of the art commercial equipment to keep your property looking its best throughout the season.

Vander Sluys Landscape Development, LLC donated new landscape plantings to Sicomac School in Wyckoff NJ around the school sign. Justin graduated from Sicomac School in 2008, and said this was a great way to give back to his school and make the Sicomac area of Wyckoff more beautiful.
Justin also donated his time to the Wyckoff DPW during leaf collection of 90 plus hours while in school at Ramapo High School for community service.
New Jersey Landscape Contractors Association 2015 Day of Service project located at the Forum School in Waldwick NJ. Members of our association donated time and labor to make the kids at the school a nice outdoor classroom for them to enjoy. It was a great thing to do with the results at the end. The entire staff of teachers, the principal, parents, and students were so grateful. We look forward to doing another project soon.
